In the event of any discrepancies between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will prevail.

Vehicle Rental Requirements
- To hire a vehicle from Car Hire Sandbach, you must be at least 21 years old, though age restrictions can vary by vehicle type. Drivers under 25 may incur additional charges. A valid driving licence suitable for the chosen vehicle category is required, along with proof of identity and current address. Valid payment information and a security deposit must also be provided, in addition to any other requirements outlined in the Rental Agreement.
Booking and Payment Details
- Reservations can be made via our website, by telephone, or directly at our Sandbach location. A deposit may be necessary to confirm your booking. The remaining balance and a security deposit are generally required upon vehicle collection. All prices are stated in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable. Payment can be made using major credit and debit cards, processed securely through trusted payment systems.
Vehicle Pickup and Drop-off
- At the time of collection, it is important to conduct a thorough inspection of the vehicle and promptly report any existing damage. A vehicle condition report will be completed and signed by both parties. The vehicle must be returned in the same condition as when it was collected, with the exception of normal wear and tear. Any new damage will be evaluated and charges applied as necessary. Please return the vehicle with the same fuel level as at collection; refueling fees will be incurred if the fuel level is lower. Late returns may result in additional charges, so please contact us if you expect to return the vehicle late. You will be responsible for any parking fines, traffic violations, or charges that arise during the rental period, in addition to a processing fee.
Insurance and Responsibility
- All rentals include basic third-party insurance. Details regarding coverage and excess amounts can be found in the Rental Agreement. Additional insurance options may be offered to help limit your financial responsibility. It is prudent to review these options thoroughly. You remain liable for any damage or loss up to the excess amount, unless further coverage is obtained. Damage resulting from negligence or misuse is your responsibility, irrespective of insurance.
Cancellation and Modifications
Cancellation and amendment policies differ based on the type of booking and the notice period provided. For specific information, please consult your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement. Be aware that late cancellations or no-shows may incur additional charges.
7. Restricted Activities
Prohibited Uses of Rental Vehicle
- Vehicles must not be used for any unlawful activities or purposes. This includes racing, rallying, off-roading, or engaging in potentially hazardous actions. Transporting dangerous materials, sub-letting the vehicle, or permitting unauthorized drivers is prohibited. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly forbidden. Additionally, the vehicle should not be used beyond its intended design, nor should passenger or weight limits be exceeded. Traveling outside the agreed geographical boundaries requires prior authorization.
Breach of these terms may lead to rental termination and extra fees.
8. Liability Limitations
To the fullest extent allowed by English and Welsh law, Car Hire Sandbach is not responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business resulting from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount paid for the rental in the past year. This does not affect our liability for personal injury or death resulting from negligence or for fraudulent actions.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the relevant courts.
