1. Car Rental Agreement

All vehicle rentals are governed by a comprehensive Rental Agreement, which you will receive at the time of booking confirmation or when collecting your vehicle. This agreement outlines the specific terms, conditions, insurance coverage, fees, and your responsibilities associated with the rental. In the event of any discrepancies between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will prevail.

Eligibility Criteria

Rental Vehicle Requirements

• To hire a vehicle from Car Hire Sandbach, drivers must be at least 21 years old, though age restrictions may vary by vehicle type, with potential extra charges for those under 25. A valid full driving licence, appropriate for the selected vehicle category, is required, along with identification and proof of current address. Valid payment details and a security deposit must also be provided, along with any other requirements detailed in the Rental Agreement.

Booking and Payment Process

• Reservations can be made via our website, by telephone, or in person at our Sandbach office. A deposit may be necessary to confirm your booking. The remaining balance and security deposit are usually payable upon vehicle pickup. All pricing is listed in British Pounds (£) and includes VAT where applicable. We accept major credit and debit cards, with transactions handled securely by trusted payment providers.

4. Vehicle Pickup and Drop-off

• At the time of vehicle collection in Sandbach, it is your responsibility to conduct a thorough inspection and report any pre-existing damage without delay. A vehicle condition report will be prepared and both parties will sign it to acknowledge the vehicle's state. When returning the vehicle, please do so in the same condition as when it was collected, taking into account normal wear and tear. Any new damage will be evaluated and appropriate charges will apply. Ensure the vehicle is returned with the same level of fuel as when collected; a refueling fee will be charged if the fuel level is lower. Late returns may incur extra charges, so please notify us promptly if you foresee a delay. You will also be liable for any parking fines, traffic violations, or other charges that arise during your rental period, in addition to an administration fee.

Insurance and Liability Coverage

• Basic third-party insurance comes standard with all rentals from Car Hire Sandbach. Full details, including coverage and excess amounts, can be found in your Rental Agreement. Additional insurance options may be offered to help limit your financial liability. Review these options closely. You will be liable for damages or losses up to the insurance excess, except when covered by additional insurance. Any damage resulting from negligence or misuse remains your responsibility, regardless of your insurance coverage.

6. Modifications and Cancellations

Cancellation and amendment policies differ based on the type of booking and the notice given. For precise information, please consult your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement. Keep in mind that late cancellations or no-shows may incur additional charges.

7. Restricted Activities

Prohibited Uses of the Vehicle

• Use of the vehicle for any illegal activities is strictly prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to, racing, rallying, or off-roading. Transporting hazardous materials is not allowed. Vehicles must not be sub-let or driven by unauthorized individuals. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is forbidden. The vehicle should only be used for its intended purpose, and you must adhere to passenger and weight limits. Driving beyond the agreed geographical boundaries without prior consent is also not permitted.

Breach of these terms may lead to rental cancellation and extra fees.

8. Liability Limitations

To the fullest extent allowed by English and Welsh law, Car Hire Sandbach will not be responsible for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business, resulting from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claims is limited to the amount you paid for your rental in the past 12 months. This limitation does not apply to liability for death or personal injury due to negligence or fraud.

9. Local Legislation

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be resolved exclusively in the courts of England and Wales.

10. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes take effect immediately once posted on our website. Continued use of our services indicates your acceptance of the revised Terms.
